My Core Values for 2024
Today, let's dive into the heart of 2024. For the first time in my journey of becoming a Botanical Artist, I mapped out my goals and defined the Core Values that will support me on my way.
In this episode you´ll learn my why behind defining Core Values for 2024, what they have to do with you, which values I chose and a deep dive into the meaning I attach to these Core Values.

Core Value Pre-Work
Oops, I forgot to mention something very important… I also picked an overarching theme for 2024 that will guide me throught the year:
COMMUNITY
I want this year to be all about creating a beautiful community of like minded people, interested in all things Botanical Art. For me it doesn´t matter, if you have never created something on your own, if you already made your first steps or if you are more advanced.
What's important to me is that we connect with each other through our love for the amazing world of plants (funghi included although they have their own kingdom).
The Definition State
To make this dream of creating a community a reality, it was important to me to define the values I want to see in our community and that I want to bring to our community myself as well.
Defining core values reminded me of my former Business-Economist-Self. I actually enjoy this kind of work a lot. I am strategically thinking human being, can´t help it… But anyways, let´s move on…
I wish our community to be a space where you feel supported, inspired, and encouraged to explore your own artistic dreams and potential. A space where art, growth and connection thrive.
And even if it sounds a bit cheesy, for our artistic journey together the core values will be our guiding stars.

To remove the guess-work and avoid us not being on the same page, let´s have a deeper look into my understanding of these words and bring them to life.

One way of showing you my authentic self ist to let you be part of my own artistic journey - its highs, lows, and everything in between.
My deep believe is that failing is always part of the process. There´s no shame in making mistakes. It simply is proof that you are doing something different, something new and you are willing to explore new terrain.
By embracing my genuine self, I aim to create a space where realness reigns supreme. Get ready to embark on a journey where you're not alone but accompanied by the unfiltered, sincere artist in me.
2. Connection: Weaving Threads of Togetherness
Imagine a virtual livingroom with discussions, stories, and shared experiences. I envision a community where kindred spirits connect, share, and inspire each other.
I'll be there consistently, responding to your comments, and actively participating in conversations.
Together, we'll tie bonds, creating a haven for our artistic souls.

To sum this up a little: That´s my vision, that´s my goal for 2024. I´m well aware about the work that needs to be done and the work that needs to be done by me.
After all we have to have trust, faith and commitment to make this a reality.
